Podcast Episode 5 | Men & Mental Health: A Conversation

Helping normalize conversations with Men about Mental Health. I have a special guest today on the pod, someone I am lucky enough to call my love, my soulmate, my lumber… my dearest husband, Dustin. We came into each other’s lives at a very weird time. A turning point if you will, we were both stuck in a rut of unreliable friends, the need to always be out and drinking and just unsure of the big things we wanted out of life. In our 5+ years together, we have walked through fire side-by-side… became a new bonus mom to his daughter-Peyten, losing Dustin’s precious Mom, moving in together while navigating grief, hit again by becoming full-time caretakers to Dustin’ grandfather with stage-lung lung cancers for 15 months and losing him in our home. Along-with, dealing with grief and anxiety between Dustin and heavily weighing on Peyten too. We got engaged right before the pandemic hit, wedding planning during that was horrendous, we ended up eloping in October of 2020. And in 2021, we made the big decision (along with my Mom) to pack up and move our lives from California to Texas on what ended up being the craziest and most trying adventure of our lives. We are now settled with our cute rescue dog, Montana, in Texas Hill Country and trying to build a big life for ourselves and little Peyten girl while co-parenting out-of-state.

Please welcome my 6’5” bearded tall drink of whiskey husband, Dustin to Taylor Made Tasty: The Podcast.
